In a recent interview on Angela Martinez’s podcast, Kim Kardashian West came clean about a lot of the issues swirling around her in the news lately. She said that, at least in her home, that her children are safe from what goes on between her and ex, Kanye West. She says that she had the best memories with her own Father and wants to cultivate nothing but good memories of Kanye for her children.
She got emotional saying that it was hard being a co-parent and that Kanye’s public airing out of their relationship really had affected her. It was also touched on that she was paying extra to the children’s school for security because of all the things that Kanye was saying and doing, like naming the school his children go to publicly. (It’s still up in the air as to whether Donda Academy even exists at this point.)

She addressed the recent Balenciaga scandal, and cancel culture at large, saying that it seems like these days it’s either cancel someone else or be cancelled yourself. She said of the campaign with the children and BDSM Teddy Bears that she really didn’t know anything about it at first since she was not part of that campaign.
She is only a spokesmodel for the brand, she doesn’t control what they do on shoots that don’t involve her. That was part of the reason she took so long to speak out, because she didn’t know anything about it, which is completely understandable. She is simply a model and not part of the creative team at Balenciaga.
She also addressed the controversy that happened a few months ago where she told women to get up off their butts and work. She said that she realizes now that it came off really badly and didn’t mean it the way people took it, she mainly meant that toward people that were applying for jobs with her team, and not to the public at large, she realizes that not everyone has had the opportunities that she has had. She also said that he had had quite a few people apply for jobs and come in making demands right off the bat, and she said that was not the culture that she grew up in.
