Katherine Heigl is not here to make any excuses about some of the things that might have happened in the past. In fact, she’s owning up to it.
The Hollywood actress recently sat down with The Washington Post about her many controversies from the past and how she’s managed to rise above it all, including all of those rumors about her being supposedly “difficult” to work with. Here’s what Katherine has to say.
When asked about those rumors – which saw her ‘canceled’ for a few years by the entertainment industry, she said, “I may have said a couple of things you didn’t like, but then that escalated to ‘she’s ungrateful,’ then that escalated to ‘she’s difficult,’ and that escalated to ‘she’s unprofessional.’ What is your definition of difficult? Somebody with an opinion that you don’t like? Now, I’m 42, and that s— pisses me off.”

But when it came to owning up to her mistakes and apologizing for them, Katherine said, “At the time, I was just quickly told to shut the f— up. The more I said I was sorry, the more they wanted it. The more terrified and scared I was of doing something wrong, the more I came across like I had really done something horribly wrong.”
With that said, Katherine believes that if she had more movie hits under her belt, her “difficult” behavior behind the scenes would have long been forgiven.
She said, “You can be the most awful, difficult, horrible person on the planet, but if you’re making them money, they’re going to keep hiring you. I knew that whatever they felt I had done that was so awful, they would overlook it if I made them money — but then my films started to make not quite as much money.”
