Jeff Garlin has reportedly left the sitcom ‘The Goldbergs,’ following recent accusations of misconduct that were directed against him.

Jeff Garlin Has Reportedly Left ‘The Goldbergs’ Sitcom Following Misconduct Allegations

Reports had initially suggested that Jeff had been fired from the show. However, the actor came out to deny this publicly by stating that he was still very much a prominent figure.

In a statement at the time, he told Vanity Fair the following: “No, I was not fired from The Goldbergs. I have not been fired from The Goldbergs.”

While that may have been the case, it was clear that an investigation was being conducted in order to determine whether or not Jeff had something to answer for.

And given that he has now apparently walked away, it is most likely that his position has become untenable. It is claimed that the decision to depart from the show was a mutual one.

Thus, it is not possible to suggest whether the investigation did find something. This is particularly true, given that Jeff only had one more day of filming left on the 9th season, as well as the fact that it is not clear if the show is going to come back for a 10th season.

At the very least, Jeff’s decision to leave could be viewed as an attempt to minimise the scrutiny that he has been getting of late. Accordingly, one person on set had stated that Jeff was “extremely verbally and emotionally abusive.”

In addition, it is alleged that the actor has been subjected to such investigations for three consecutive years. Thus, it was clear that the show had to do something in order to avoid getting themselves into trouble from the various disgruntled employees.

A spokesperson on behalf of the show had this to say: “The well-being of our cast and crew is of utmost importance to us. This is an employment matter and it is being addressed by HR and production.”

Jeff may no longer be on the show, but there is still plenty more to this story than meets the eye. With that in mind, we will have to see how this will all play out.
