Lo might be Jenny from the Block from the Southside Bronx of NYC, and Selena was Texas born and raised, but each came from immigrant families who started from practically nothing and worked their way up.
It’s no wonder that J. Lo would choose her side in this online beef. But leave it to J.Lo to keep it classy, she didn’t stoop to calling names or anyone out specifically, rather she just posted a DM that she had received from Selena in 2018 after the fellow singer had attended one of her concerts.

I love you so much!!” J.Lo shared a screenshot of the DM along with the message, “I love you @Selenagomez” to which Selena turned around and shared J.Lo’s story with a caption of her own, “@Jlo you are the definition of a triple threat!! Thank you for inspiring us female artists!”
All of this comes on the heels of Justin Beiber’s shade that he threw at Selena at his own birthday party by posting a picture of a lighter with the engraving, “I’m so glad I didn’t end up with what I thought I wanted.” while he didn’t call Selena out by name a lot of followers interpreted the picture to mean that he was slamming Selena.
J.Lo isn’t the only celeb that’s come forward to give Selena support, Lady Gaga commented on one of Selena’s tiktoks, “You look and are beautiful inside and out one of my favorite ladies alive!”, even Kylie Jenner’s former friends Jordyn Woods and Pia Mia have made several videos touting Selena’s Rare Beauty makeup line.
According to some sources, J. Lo really can’t stand girls like Haley and Kylie, self-termed “nepo babies” (a coin termed by a t-shirt that Haley Beiber wore in a photo that was really not a great look for Haley, professionally.) and has unfollowed Haley on social media. There is also rumors that Selena and J.Lo could collaborate on music in the future, but so far, that’s just rumor. We’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
