Inside sources claim Prince Harry wants to return to the royal fold. Harry’s former confidants’ phones recently started ringing and pinging, with the Duke of Dumb reaching out to take steps for rehabilitation and, in his mind, a “partial” return to the royal fold.
Queen Elizabeth Said There Would Be No Half-In Half-Out Royals
Queen Elizabeth made it crystal clear to Harry and Meghan Markle in January 2020 that once they stepped down from their positions as salaried royals, they would not be able to do a half-in, half-out deal, in which they would “kind of,” “maybe,” “sort of” be royals and use their titles for commercial purposes.
In short, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to “have their cake and eat it too.” The Queen also clarified that they would no longer have the same privileges as working royals.
Prince Harry was recently stripped of his taxpayer-funded security when he visited the UK. But the couple are still using their titles for personal gain.
Since then, they’ve done precisely what and, when they want, and how they want: book deals, high-profile interviews, Netflix series, and royal tours in all but name.
It’s interesting to hear that Prince Harry contacted a former aide from his time as a working royal for consultation on the matter. And he’s supposedly starting to veer away from the Meghan Markle way of doing things. Is there trouble in paradise, perhaps?
An inside source insists,
“Harry is turning away from all sorts of Hollywood publicists and is seeking counsel from his old friends and associates. He is clearly reaching out and thinking, I need to do something different because what I’m doing evidently is not working.”
Strangely, anyone would even consider Harry’s original idea of a half-in, half-out proposition, let alone take his phone call.
“Operation Bring Prince Harry Back From the Cold”
Some refer to their effort as “Operation Bring Harry Back From the Cold.” The title shouldn’t be worth much if Harry isn’t considering returning to the UK.
Some speculate he’s unhappy with his life in Montecito and misses his family. However, others insist that Prince Harry and Meghan aren’t looking for a permanent move to the UK but a way to return to the royal family’s good graces.
Things may also not be as fruitful at Archewell as they anticipated. The couple parted ways with another PR advisor.
Christine Weil Schirmer joined Harry and Meghan in 2020 as head of communications but left late last year. She’s the tenth employee to have left the couple in three years.
Harry may think a return to the royal fold in some capacity will help his dire situation. It is believed that if the Duke returned to the UK with zero fuss and no publicity, he may have a shot at winning over the British public again.
The whole thing depends on whether members of the royal family would allow him to return, and for Prince William, it’s likely to be a hard no.
Willam may not want his brother to attend his coronation when he becomes King. Nothing is inevitable, and when it comes to Harry, the royal family isn’t sure he can be trusted.
