Prince Harry has seemingly been left angered at Queen Elizabeth II given he no longer has his military titles.
Queen Elizabeth’s Decision To Remove Prince Harry’s Military Titles Has Annoyed Him
The lack of titles has left Harry in a position where he will not be able to lend a hand to the military, which is an issue that is close to him. After all, Harry did serve in the British military during his time in Afghanistan.
But given that he decided to leave the Royal family with Meghan Markle in 2020, he lost all those privileges that he had been given.
This has now come to the fore, in response to a letter that Harry had written to fellow soldier Nathan Hunt’s family after they had wanted Harry to help honour Nathan by putting his name on an armed forces memorial.
This was of paramount importance, as Nathan was found hanged after suffering from post traumatic disorder. And given that Harry and Nathan had served together within the military, it was hoped that Harry could do something.
However, he has been left in a position where he could not intervene for them. In an emotional letter to the family, Harry said: “I deeply empathise with what your family is going through and so wish I could assist formally, had I been in the same role I once was.”
Naturally, he would have only been able to intervene if the Queen had allowed it. As of now, the Ministry of Defence has rejected calls to honour Nathan.
It is not exactly clear why they decided to do this, but the very fact that Nathan ended up being found hanged is something that they probably do not want to draw attention to. At the time of the decision, the family begged Harry to help.
They said: “You have always been a champion of veterans and we hope that your influence might help the Ministry of Defence to change its policy and add Nathan’s name to the memorial wall.”
Harry is no longer in position to call the shots when it comes to the Royal family. If there is anybody who can help Nathan’s family, then it is the Queen.
