A new series is streaming on Hulu that you may have missed! Hulu’s ‘Monsterland’ is a series that shows everything from fallen angels to mermaids as broken people find these creatures in their weakest moments. The anthology series is based on a collection of stories from Nathan Ballingrud.

If you haven’t watched the show yet, you should definitely give it a chance, as it’s not truly a horror series, but more of an introspective look on ourselves and what we see of us in these “monsters”. Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“Can you escape who you are? Showrunner Mary Laws and Kaitlyn Dever discuss the monsters of #Monsterland in our #NYCC exclusive clip. Encounters with mermaids, fallen angels, and other strange beasts drive broken people to desperate acts in Monsterland, an anthology series based on the collection of stories from Nathan Ballingrud’s “North American Lake Monsters”.”

This series is already streaming and some viewers have already watched it, leaving comments like, “I really enjoyed this series….loved how the stories were told and how the monsters of each ep were portrayed! Give us more please…”, and “Enjoyed these Episodes… Extremely Entertaining & Interesting. ?”.

I’m definitely going to be checking this out, oddly enough, I’m looking forward to the mermaid story, and no it’s not Ariel. It’ll be interesting to find out the connection the man finds between himself and the creature and how the story will end. We see a truckload of men confront him outside his home, will he die defending the mermaid? Or something else?

What do you think? Have you watched this new series yet? Let us know in the comments below.
