As we all know, former YouTuber David Dobrik recently opened a pizza shop called Doughbrik’s, a play on his last name. When it first opened people were lining up around the block to get in and they seemed to have a repeat performance of that over the holiday weekend. Of course it was a holiday and anyone who was staying around Sunset Blvd in LA who had access to an Uber could easily get to Doughbrik’s.

However, some people are saying that for more local people the place is really inconveniently located. It’s right in the middle of Sunset Boulevard which means there is no parking, that means unless you park blocks away or get an Uber there, you have no way of just driving up and eating there.

Granted, Dobrik built the place with it in being mainly a late night eatery in mind. He didn’t mean for it to become a pla cc e the ass t had people drive up and sit there, he meant for it to be an in and out sort of place.

That still doesn’t bode well for it’s location considering the place used to be a Starbucks and Starbucks left the placed and closed down! That’s right, Starbucks couldn’t even keep it open which makes people wonder what Doughbrik’s, who is basically unknown, is going to do once the novelty of the place wears off.

Right now it’s doing well because it’s a new place and because people seem to be in it for the meet n’ greet opportunities. Sooner or later he’s going to realize that he can’t greet everyone that walks in the door personally. There are plans to expand the franchise to other cities as well, like Chicago and New York (especially Chicago, the co-owners recently talked about that on a podcast), but right now they need to do something about the parking problem at the main location before they start opening other branches.

Right now they don’t really have anything, aside from what seems to be extra pepperoni, that might interest people, on the menu either. Not everyone is in it for the free ice cream and dance party. We’ll see how long this lasts. Stay tuned.
