It’s that time of day in which everyone gets to reflect on how difficult life has been this past year for Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin. That’s right: Hilaria recently opened up about how challenging this past year has been for her – with everyone figuring out the fact that she is not Spanish and that her husband also accidently shot and killed a cinematographer on the set of his movie – and well, how it’s impacted her mental health. Here’s what she has to say.
In a new social media post, Hilaria admits that she didn’t think she’d “make it through” a year of what she calls dark struggles. She wrote on Instagram, “Sometimes I didn’t think I was gonna make it through. I want you to know how much you have helped me through some pretty dark struggles. Knowing you were there—such comfort.”
Hilaria Baldwin Says She’s Had A Very Challenging Year
Hilaria, who is married to Alec Baldwin and shares six kids with him, said her “family and close friends have been invaluable,” but she still wanted her express her gratitude for her fans.
“I miss our chats and the safety net of our community,” she wrote. “I’m hoping, one day, we will get back there.”
Hilaria’s post about her “challenging year” comes as Alec Baldwin deals with the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film Rust on Oct. 21.
Meanwhile, reports say that Alec Baldwin is not out of the woods just yet. Law enforcement officials say they suspect a real bullet was loaded in the antique revolver used by the actor that killed the film’s cinematographer and wounded its director. The same shot mortally wounded cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who later died at a hospital.
“I think there was some complacency on this set and I think there are some safety issues that need to be addressed by the industry and possibly by the state of New Mexico,” Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said.
In addition, about 500 rounds of ammunition were also seized that included a mix of blanks, dummy rounds and live rounds.
