There’s a new report that Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin looked like they didn’t have a care in the world when the were spotted dining at an upscale restaurant in New York City amid the investigation into the deadly shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust” last month.
That, and the fact that Baldwin has just been slapped with a lawsuit by a gaffer from the film didn’t stop him from enjoying his sushi roll on Wednesday night. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, Alec and Hilaria – both dressed to the nines – were spotted departing New York City sushi hotspot BONDST. They dined with Hilaria’s hair stylist Jared Riccardi.
The pair have been back in the Big Apple for a few days after hiding out in Vermont after Alec discharged a gun and killed Hutchins on the spot while also injuring the film’s director, Joel Souza. The director managed to survive his injuries.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Baldwin just got slapped with a lawsuit by “Rust” gaffer Serge Svetnoy for negligence. The chief electrician on the set of the film claims the bullet that struck both Hutchins and Souza nearly hit him too, additionally alleging that he was the one who tried to comfort the cinematographer and keep her conscious after she was hit.
In his lawsuit, Svetnoy says that he included Baldwin in his suit because the actor and producer “owed a duty to the Plaintiff and other crew members and actors on the Rust set to handle the Colt Revolver provided to him by defendant Halls with reasonable care and diligence for the safety of Rust cast and crew.”
“This duty called for Defendant Baldwin to double-check the Colt Revolver with Halls upon being handled to ensure that it did not contain live ammunition,” the docs read. “This duty further called for him [Baldwin] to handle the Colt Revolver as if it was loaded and to refrain from pointing it at anyone.”
