After seeing a post on Instagram that asked fans to list their favorite pop singer siblings, Jamie Lean explained why she never wanted to be the “next Britney.” Here’s what she has to say.
According to reports, the subject came up after NYLON shared a repost from Ashley Ray on Instagram. It said, “I think it’s nice that in the early 2000s if your sister was a pop singer, you got to try it out too.”

“Never tried it,” Jamie Lynn wrote. “There was no competing with the GOAT.”
Meanwhile, Britney’s father Jamie Spears and Bessemer Trust Co. will continue their co-conservatorship over the chart topper. According to reports, a Los Angeles judge has sided with Britney Spears’ legal team in giving a third party equal power to her father in managing the 39-year-old pop star’s finances.
Of course, a lot of fans are feeling rather dismayed over the news, seeing how they want Jamie Spears completely out of the picture.
But Judge Brenda Penny ordered her father and financial company Bessemer Trust to work together on a budget and investment plan for the singer. Jamie Spears had objected to the ruling, as this lessens his control over the state.
Britney’s attorney Samuel D. Ingham III addressed the court on Thursday and said that he originally proposed the co-conservatorship between Bessemer and Jamie to give both parties “an equal division of responsibility, in the hopes that they would sit down and figure out together the best way to handle this complex estate for the benefit of my client.”
“It’s no secret that my client does not want her father as co-conservator, but we recognize that removal is a separate issue,” the attorney added.
Both James Spears and Bessemer Trust are expected to work together on a budget and investment proposal for Britney Spears’ estate following Thursday’s hearing. Another hearing on the conservatorship is scheduled to take place next month.
