Potterheads have something to cheer about as an all new Harry Potter themed quiz show is coming to TBS and Cartoon Network just in time for the holidays.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses will put Harry Potter fanatics to the test as they vie to become honorary House Cup champions. Hosted by Dame Helen Mirren, the four-part competition event celebrates the 20th anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s (or Sorcerer’s, depending which country you are in) Stone, based on the smash hit fantasy series from the creative mind of J.K. Rowling.

The quiz show is said to feature hundreds of trivia questions and provide special guest surprises in an “unforgettable event of a lifetime.”

Potterheads will get their chance to flex their knowledge of the Wizarding World (seemingly based more on the movies than the books) on a “never-before-seen scale” and though the recently dropped preview only shows competitors and cheer squads for Gryffindor and Slytherin, we’re sure Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws will be in the mix, also.

Said Mirren of the hosting gig, “I knew someday I’d get a Harry Potter role, and I’m so pleased to take part in the 20-year film celebration.” She added, “The films inspired such enchantment and wonder for so many of us, and it will be such a treat to reignite that magic for the countless fans who continue to revel in this spellbinding world.”

Between 2001 and 2011, Warner Bros. released eight Potter films, grossing over $7.7 billion worldwide. The franchise has spawned plays, games, further book series (also immortalized on film) and, of course, perpetually popular theme park attractions,

There’s no doubt legions of fans will be glued to their couches and screaming at their television screens when TBS and Cartoon Network air Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses, episode one premiering on Nov. 28. The final of four episodes will air on December 19 and the limited series event will be available to stream on HBO Max at a later date.
