Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have recently been criticised for their new endeavors, with one commentator expressing that the UK does not desire them to return.
Harry And Meghan Slammed For Allegedly Wanting To Attend Coronation-‘They’ve Burnt Their Bridges,’ Says Nana Akua
Nana Akua condemned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in connection to the claims that they were attempting to attend the Coronation, saying that they should remain in the United States as it is believed that they have destroyed all their connections in the UK.
This is on the back end of Harry’s memoir, Spare, and the couple’s Netflix docuseries which made several damning attacks against the firm, including an accusation that the future heir, Prince William, had assaulted Harry.
In her comments, Nana said: “Ok, let me make something clear. I as a member of the British public don’t want you and Meghan [at the coronation. It’s a state event, not a family affair which is ultimately being paid for by the British taxpayer.
“Well, they’re all yours now…you can keep em, they’ve burnt their bridges here.” In the same way, recent polling, as done by Redfield and Wilton, indicates that Americans may have started to become less supportive of Meghan and Harry.
The outcomes of a new poll in the US revealed that public approval of Harry had gone down by 45 points over the course of one month, from a positive outlook of +38 to a negative one of -7.
The Duchess of Sussex also saw a decrease in her favourability rating of 36 points, from +23 in December to -13 in January. The response on social media was much the same. A large proportion of people were of the view that the Sussexes’ attendance would dampen the occasion.
One person wrote: “Meghan and Harry are a proven pair of ne’er do wells, they are an embarrassment to UK and US, perhaps they should apply to migrate to Russia, I’m sure Putin would find something for them to do.”
