‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that GH vet Amber Tamblyn, who played Emily Quartermaine on the soap, has extended her support to actress Blake Lively for her lawsuit against former B&B star Justin Baldini (ex-Graham Darros).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tamblyn Played Emily Quartermaine From 1995 to 2001
Tamblyn played Emily for six years, from 1995 to 2001. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Emily Quartermaine, she was the adopted daughter of Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) and Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson), who took Emily in as their own when her mother, Paige Bowen (Riley Steiner), died from breast cancer.
Emily was romantically linked to Nikolas Cassadine (then Tyler Christopher) and was Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) BFF. Natalia Livingston took over the part of Emily in 2003.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldini recently worked on the film, “It Ends With Us.” They both starred in the movie, and he also directed the project.
Lively has filed a lawsuit against Baldini for several offenses: sexual harassment, breach of contract, retaliation, infliction of emotional distress, lost wages, and invasion of privacy.
In her lawsuit, Lively claimed that Baldini sexually harassed her on the set of the film. After a meeting that addressed his conduct on set, Baldini hired a crisis management team and threatened to ruin her reputation.
During a meeting to review his conduct, Baldini was allegedly told to stop showing his co-star “nude videos or images of women, talking about his “porn addiction,” “sexual conquests,” and discussing the cast and crew’s genitalia, the suit states.
Baldini also apparently took sex scenes in the movie “too far” and “outside the scope” of the preapproved script.
His agent has since dropped Baldini. In addition to Baldini, Livley also named in her legal claim Wayfarer Studios, the production company Baldini co-founded with Steve Sarowitz, along with James Heath, the lead producer on “It Ends With Us.” The PR professionals who threatened Livley are also named in the suit.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Tamblyn Wrote Words Of Encouragement To Livley On Social Media
Amber knows Blake Lively personally, as she worked with her on the movie, “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.”
Tamblyn expressed her sympathy and is offering support to Lively. The former GH actress and her “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” co-stars, America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel, posted a joint statement on social media to present a united front of support for Lively.
The women wrote that they stand in solidarity with Lively as she contends with this legal case and fights Baldini and those trying to sabotage her reputation.
The message reads:
“Throughout the filming of “It Ends With Us,” we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice.”
The statement condemns the “unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors to keep a woman who requested safety silent.” They exclaim that the “hypocrisy is astounding.”
The actresses concluded the message by praising Lively for her continued efforts. She is standing up for herself both in her lawsuit and during the making of “It Ends With Us.”
