General Hospital alumn, Billy Miller, who has played many daytime T.V. characters, suddenly passed away. He would have been 44 years old today.

Billy was born in Oklahoma on September 17, 1979, and lived in Texas. He was the middle child of three and left behind his two sisters, Michelle and Megan, and his mother, Patricia.

He had a communications degree from The University of Texas, and when he graduated, he moved to Los Angeles and worked in the mail room of Industry Entertainment.

Billy’s first break was a job modeling for the Wilhelmina Agency, where he was featured in commercials. He was in commercials for J.C. Penny, just to name one.

His first try was a screen test for As the World Turns, which did not pan out, so he took a two-year break to recover.

In 2006-2008, Billy starred in an episode of CSI New York. Subsequently, one year later, he played Richie Novak in All My Children.

2008, he read for The Young and The Restless with Peter Bergman (Jack Abbot) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Mitchell). Bergman and Hendrickson suggested he get the part, and he began playing Billy Abbott and won best-supporting actor in 2010 and 2013.

In 2014, he joined the cast of General Hospital as Jason Morgan. In 2017, Steve Burton reprised the role of Jason, and Billy was re-signed to play Jason’s brother, Andrew Cain. He was re-cast in 2021.

The interesting thing about Billy Miller’s portrayal of Jason Morgan is that he won fans over. When they step into a coveted role like that, most actors never quite compare to the original, which in this case was Steve Burton.

However, Miller impressed fans with his stellar portrayal and incredible acting. Not to mention, the chemistry he had with his on-screen co-stars, Kelly Monaco and Rebecca Herbst, was off the charts.

During his Daytime T.V. career, he was nominated for and received several awards.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Billy Was Not Just an Actor

Even though Billy had a lucrative career in Daytime and Primetime T.V., he owned several dining establishments and bars in L.A.

Billy was part owner of The Bellmont restaurant and bar, located in Los Angeles.

Mr. Miller has never been married; however, rumors swirled regarding him dating Kelly Monaco (Sam on G.H.) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe on The Young and The Restless). Although the rumors were there, they were never confirmed.

rumors that Billy and Kelly were more than friends

Even though there has been no official cause of death, rumors indicate that he was diagnosed with PSP, a neurological condition that affects the brain’s inner workings.

The condition affects balance, vision, speech, and cognition.

However, the diagnosis has not yet been confirmed by reliable sources.

As soon as he found out about Billy Miller’s passing, General Hospital’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, posted the following message on Twitter:

“I’m devastated to hear news of the incredibly talented Billy Miler’s passing. On behalf of the entire General Hospital family, our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.”

Billy Miller was an outstanding actor who made each role he played his own. He will surely be missed.
