This has been a rough year for “General Hospital” as four members of the family have passed away this year, and Tyler Christopher hurts as much as the others and ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers are still dealing with it.
Every loss hit differently which makes sense given each one was highly special in their own way, and the out pouring of love showed how much each of them meant to everyone.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Steve Burton Says Goodbye to Tyler Christopher
While it’s still early and his castmates and friends are still working through their emotions before sharing their thoughts if they share them, some have been able to share their pain.
When Maurice Benard broke the news on his Instagram his comments were filled with support for Christopher and sharing their heartbreak.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Steve weighs in
It’s only natural that one of the first one’s to speak is Steve Burton as he worked with Christoher for years on “General Hospital when Christopher played Nikolas Cassadine and Burton Jason Morgan.
As often happens, they became closer than friends as Burton often referred to him as his brother, and he took to his Instagram account to share his thoughts, and along with some pictures of them:
“💔 This hits hard. Really hard.
Sometimes I use the word “brother” loosely. But when I called Tyler my brother, I meant it ..there’s a group of us…that have done and still would do anything for each other. That’s a brother. We lost one. A beautiful and talented soul at that. It hurts. Thank you for the memories brother Ty. Love you. See you in Heaven. 🙏🏻🕊️”
It’s truly a heartfelt goodbye that exemplifies how close they were and it’s those little things that matter in life.
It’s easy for us to be caught in the rush of life and it’s difficult to break free of the rat race at times, but those bonds we make with coworkers often last a lifetime.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Touching hearts
Christopher touched so many hearts during his time as Nikolas and then Stefan DiMera on “Days of Our Lives” with fans hoping he’d return as Nikolas some day.
In 2022, he appeared on Benard’s State of Mind podcast in one of the more powerful episodes, and after hearing everything he went through “General Hospital” Spoilers were hoping he’d be able to overcome his demons and obstacles to make a return.
He deserved a triumphant return and to show the world he made it despite the obstacles stacked against him. Unfortunately, he didn’t get that chance and we lost a phenomenal talent and a great human being.
