Maurice Benard has had a rough go of it recently. He spoke about the challenges he experienced during the lockdown, both hinting at it on Maurice Benard’s State of Mind, while also going in-depth in a recent interview.
But he’s also made a point of talking about much his mindset has changed since that dark period. In a recent State of Mind, he mentioned having a more joyful outlook on life, and it was obvious in a recent Instagram. Let’s talk about it and the reaction.
Maurice Benard opens up
Anyone who’s paid any attention to Maurice Benard, especially in recent years, know he’s candid. He speaks openly about mental illness on his YouTube show, while also advocating for mental health on his social media and in interviews. He’s even had his family on the show to share their own stories. But this time, he shared something much more joyful.
In a recent Instagram post, the actor posted a sweet photo of him with two babies. The smile on his face said more than words. Even so, he captioned the shot, “Can LIFE be any better? These 2 Little girls Bring me so much joy?I’ve become a child again when I’m with them.”
He added the tags #Love #Family and #Joy to the post. It definitely sounds like his family and personal life is in a great place, and we definitely agree on being child-like again when with one. The energy is infectious and it definitely inspired a reaction in the actor’s fans.
Maurice Benard: The reaction
The post quickly earned a lot of love. Over 34,000 people loved the post, while the comment are still coming in. Most are saying, “Adorable” and “Precious”. One replied, “Grand babies are the best,” to which Benard replied with a heart emoji.
Another said, “Oh you look like a very happy grandpa, they are adorable.”
One fan both praised and called the actor out, saying, “They’re so cute Why don’t you age?” Benard replied to that one with a bunch of laughing emojis.
“Oh my god!! those faces.. you look in your element. The beauty on the right looks like u.. has your eyes. What a beautiful family.”
We have to agree with that sentiment. There’s a strong resemblance between them, and we have a feeling both babies could make expressive actors one day.

As for the vibe of the post, we can’t help noticing how relaxed Benard looks in the photo and how he comes off at ease on camera during State of Mind. He’s definitely put a lot of himself into “Mike” and we almost wish this character could stick around longer.
He’s much more at peace than Sonny Corinthos (Benard). Who knows? Maybe when Sonny gets his memory back, some of that energy will stick with him.
