‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers let the cat out of the bag that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) will ask Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) for a divorce, and he will refuse to accept that their marriage is over.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Michael Made a Serious Mistake Keeping the Truth from Willow
Michael made a grave mistake when he kept the truth about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) from Willow.
Instead, he decided to not only hide Nina’s secret that she ratted out Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to the SEC, but he also blackmailed her.
Willow has every right to be angry because Michael didn’t allow her to decide whether she would continue forging a relationship with Nina.
There is no question that Nina broke the mother-and-daughter bond the minute she made that fateful call to her lawyer, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight).
However, Michael controlling Nina’s access to Willow wasn’t fair. Willow is starting to see how calculated Michael can be and that he isn’t above keeping secrets from her to get what he wants.
Michael has tried to explain that he didn’t want to hurt his father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), and Willow, but that’s just a flimsy excuse.
It was also cruel for Michael to throw Willow hiding her cancer diagnosis from Michael in her face. She only did that because she was pregnant, and she didn’t want to risk hurting the baby.
The situations are different, obviously, but of course, in a desperate bid to get Willow to see his side of things, he brought up a heartrending decision she made to protect her child’s life.
Michael has moved into the Quartermaine mansion, while Willow is at the gatehouse with the kids. Soon, Willow will have a discussion with Micheal about the fate of their marriage.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Micheal Will Be Heartbroken
When Willow brings up divorce, it will shatter Michael’s heart. He loves Willow more than anything and wants to work things out.
Viewers saw the couple at Bobbie Spencer’s (Jackie Zeman) memorial service, and there was a noticeable distance between them.
Willow wasn’t sitting near Michael during the funeral, and Willow didn’t try to reach out to Michael the way a wife would comfort her husband if a cherished member of his family had passed away.
In a way, though, it would be a shame for Michael and Willow to divorce because they fought so hard to be together when Willow was dying of leukemia.
They had so many instances of wondering how much time they had with each other, even during their wedding. It was a devastating and scary time for both of them, wondering if and when Willow would end up passing on, leaving Michael to raise the kids all alone.
Now, with everything that’s happened, Willow seems to have forgotten how lucky they are that she made it through and conquered her illness, and they have their lovely little family with Michael, Willow, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver), and Amelia Corinthos (Nathan and Owen Ford).
The two of them went through so much together, but Willow seems to have reached her breaking point with Michael. His keeping Nina’s secret and blackmailing was unacceptable and may have cost Michael the love of his life.
