‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that everyone in Port Charles knows not to mess with mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Took Dex To The Pine Barrens
Sonny almost killed Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) because he discovered that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) initially hired him to infiltrate Sonny’s organization and obtain evidence that could put him behind bars for a long time.
Sonny took Dex to the Pine Barrens with the intent to kill him, but fortunately, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) showed up before Sonny could pull the trigger.
Dex tried to talk to Sonny and explain that while he was a traitor at first, he came to think of Sonny as a father figure, and in a perfect world, he would want to keep working for him.
But Sonny wouldn’t listen. He told Dex that if he didn’t leave town, he would kill him. Dex left his sweetheart, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), a goodbye letter and dog tags from his days in the military.
Joss was heartbroken and told Sonny she hated him and would never forgive him. Dex was set up with a new identity and forced to leave Port Charles.
Joss went after him and found him, and she brought him back. Their reunion was short-lived, however, because Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) got nasty with Dex and Joss and told Joss that Dex almost killed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in the hospital after Sonny beat and almost killed him.
A disillusioned Joss broke things off with Dex, and in that moment, a lightbulb went over Dex’s head, prompting him to confess to what he’s almost done.
Dex told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) about how he came close to killing Cyrus and incriminated Sonny in the process. But Anna offered him a job at the PCPD instead.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Dex Wants To Impress Joss
Dex wants to impress Joss and get her to understand that he’s a changed man. However, what he’s doing could have dire consequences.
Ava Jerome (Maura West) told Sonny that Dex was becoming a cop, and he didn’t take it well. An under-medicated, volatile Sonny is now gunning for Dex.
Joss isn’t happy with Dex’s decision and has been trying to get Dex to change his mind. He has basically put a target on his back, as he knows too much about Sonny’s business.
Sonny is struggling right now, and Ava has been enabling him by fixing him glass after glass of bourbon, and he’s been drinking on his too-low dose of meds.
It’s a recipe for disaster, and if Dex is intent on joining the PCPD, he may not come through this alive. Sonny won’t have it. But maybe Dex was born to protect the citizens of Port Charles.
Dex has already proved how heroic he is, as he helped save Sonny’s son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), after he was shot. He has also protected Sonny on numerous occasions when he was ambushed. One would think that would be enough to absolve his past actions, but not with Sonny.
Jason told Joss he wouldn’t let Sonny kill Dex, but can he stop him? There may be an epic confrontation about to go down between Sonny and Dex.
