‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may be wrongfully accused of killing Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) to free his grandson, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Laura Knew She Could Trust Sonny
In the November 19th episode of GH, Sonny admitted to Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) that he didn’t like the odds in Rocco’s legal situation.
Ric advised Sonny not to do anything that could potentially escalate the already fragile case. Sonny responded by casually pointing out, “No Dalton, no case.”
Ric assured Sonny not to worry as his new legal strategy would likely work. Soaps don’t randomly pepper conversations like that without cause.
Of course, we all saw Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) shoot Professor Dalton in cold blood. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was present to witness it. The incident left her in a state of shock.
When Laura Collins (Genie Francis) called Sonny for help, he showed up and took care of the body. Laura was frantic, but she knew she could trust Sonny with this.
Sonny called his right-hand man, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), to take Laura’s car and dispose of the body.
Laura’s car will be returned to her in tip-top condition, with no trace of Dalton. It all seems like it was too easy.
Laura also figured out that Sidwell was the one who murdered Dalton and tried to frame her for the crime. She was an easy target due to her recent public altercation with Dalton.
We suspect that as people start to notice that Dalton is missing, Sonny will be the first suspect on the list. ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) wants to further her career.
She went out of her way to railroad Rocco at his arraignment, likely because she’s aiming to take Sonny down.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Goes to Great Lengths to Protect His Family
Plus, everyone knows the lengths Sonny will go to protect his family. He’s a well-known mob boss, and he wouldn’t hesitate to pump bullets into whomever threatened them.
Remember when FBI agent Jagger Cates (Adam J. Harrington) threatened to put Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) behind bars? We all know what happened to him.
Not to mention, A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), whom Sonny killed because he thought that A.J. had murdered his high-school sweetheart, Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan).
While neither case was ever solved, there may be several people who suspect that Sonny had a hand in Professor Dalton’s death.
Sonny had plenty of motive to eliminate his grandson’s accuser. He also knew that Dalton was lying and that Rocco never touched anything in that lab.
Not to mention, Laura could also be accused of conspiring with Sonny to kill Dalton. You can bet that Sidwell may see this as an opportunity to pin the crime on both Sonny and Laura, killing two birds with one stone.
If any of it comes to that, would Britt stick her neck out to help Jason’s BFF and tell the truth? We’re not really sure, after the way Jason abruptly left her to deal with this mess, whether she’d be willing to come forward.
She was clearly ready to spill the truth to Jason, and he walked away. In Britt’s mind, she’ll never come first with Jason.
Plus, Britt’s life-sustaining medicine and her life are on the line. Either way, Sonny and Laura are in this together.
