May sweeps is notoriously a time when soaps deliver their most shocking reveals, and viewers have been waiting for this one. The Nurses Ball kicks off next week on Tuesday, May 20th.
When Brook Lynn finds out that her mother, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) has been hiding the fact that Gio is the child Brook Lynn gave birth to and gave up for adoption when she was a teenager, it’s going to set off a domino effect that will change several lives, mostly Gio’s.
Gio believed that Camilla, Lois’s cousin, who raised Gio, who had passed away when he was about ten years old, was his mother. After Camilla died, the Cerullo family raised him.
Lois wanted Gio to stay close to her family, but kept him from the Quartermaines. Recently, Brook Lynn confided in Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) about her baby.
Tracy has already tasked Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) with finding her great-grandson. When Tracy learns that Gio is Brook Lynn’s son living under the Quartermaine roof, she’ll no doubt kick Lois out of the mansion. That is, if Brook Lynn doesn’t do it first.
Ever since Lulu discovered the truth about Brook Lynn and Dante’s son, she’s been relentless with Brook Lynn that she feels Dante has the right to know he has another child.
Lulu even had a piece she was working on for the Llanview Banner, where she was conveniently going to write a feature article on the topic of adoption.
Strange that she couldn’t score a job at the Invader, but that’s besides the point. The fact that Lulu pitched adoption as one of the topics was far from a coincidence.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Lulu Wants To Find Dante’s Son
Lulu chose that topic as an excuse to dig into Brook Lynn’s life so that she would have something to hold over Brook Lynn’s head. Lulu wants to tell Dante that he has another son. Tracy asked her to drop the article, which she did, but she’s far from dropping the subject.
Her motives aren’t exactly altruistic, and several people have warned her that it’s not her secret to tell. It looks like Lulu has figured out that Gio is Dante and Brook Lynn’s son.
We could all see when Dante was lashing out at Gio for Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) underage drinking mistake, the soap was setting up the big reveal, and it was only a matter of time. Soap 101: Conflict always drives a story.
When Lois fiercely came to Gio’s defense and blurted out that Dante “didn’t know who Gio was,” we could see the wheels turning in Lulu’s mind.
Lulu told Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in the May 12th episode of GH that she knows either Brook Lynn or Lois is lying, and she has to find Dante’s son.
We can see that once Lulu uncovers proof, she’ll run straight to Dante. The Nurses Ball is the perfect setting for that juicy secret to come out.
