General Hospital spoilers suggest that Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning) may decide to issue a restraining order against Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thieabaud).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Lulu Tried To Give Britt The Benefit Of The Doubt
In the September 23rd episode of GH, Lulu went to see Britt to make peace with her. Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) is very curious about the woman who gave birth to her.
Lulu tried to set some ground rules with Britt, but Britt verbally attacked Lulu and told her that Lulu wouldn’t be putting any constraints on her connecting with “her son.”
It’s strange the way they have been writing Britt since she returned. Britt had experienced much character development and had grown as a person before she faked her own death.
Yet, the way she went after Lulu demonstrated visions of the old Britt. The Britt who took what she wanted, no matter who it hurt.
We all love that Britt is back, but she’s acting very combative towards Lulu when Lulu was trying to come to her with a mature and reasonable offer.
We also hate defending Lulu because from the moment the character awakened from her coma, she’s been insufferable.
However, we have her back on this one. Lulu was open to some sort of compromise with Britt when it came to her having a relationship with Rocco.
Unfortunately, Britt has sealed her own fate with her behavior. Britt said all the wrong things to “her son’s” mother.
Britt made it clear to Lulu that she shared a bond with Rocco that she never had. The reason Lulu wasn’t able to bond with him during the first few months of Rocco’s life was that she stole him from Lulu and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Britt Threw Her “Special Bond” With Rocco In Lulu’s Face
Britt stole Lulu’s embryo, implanted it into herself, and gave birth to Lulu’s son. She’s never really apologized to Lulu and Dante for the mess she created.
Even Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) admitted to Lulu that what Britt did to her was beyond wrong and unimaginable.
In this instance, Britt was vicious and cruel. She only reminded Lulu of the painful truth that she was robbed of the first few months of Rocco’s life because of Britt’s selfish actions.
Lulu acknowledged to Britt that Rocco was curious and had expressed interest in talking to her. Britt threw it in Lulu’s face that she had many stories about Rocco from when he was a baby that only she could tell him.
As a general rule, in all cases having to do with Lulu, we’re hardly ever on her side. However, in this particular case, we can completely understand Lulu’s motherly instincts to protect Rocco.
Lulu has even recently shown some maturity in her never-ending battle with Brook Lynn. It’s the willingness to compromise for the greater good that ultimately prevails.
By going to Britt with the intention of having an open and honest discussion with her, Lulu demonstrated that she’s willing to put her child first.
We can only hope that this rewrite of Britt doesn’t last much longer, and the softer, more compassionate side of Britt shows her face once again in Port Charles.
