‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) may soon find out that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) doesn’t actually have Huntington’s disease.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Wants to Free Britt from Sidwell and Cullum
We predict that Britt’s Huntington’s diagnosis was designed as a ruse to keep control over Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) daughter.
It’s obvious that Jason is going to try to take back Britt’s Huntington’s medication from Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), which he’s holding for Britt at Wyndemere.
He wants to make sure that Britt comes there to do her work as instructed, and he’s also sending her a veiled threat that if she doesn’t break off her relationship with Jason, things might get worse for her.
We suspect that the Huntington’s medicine is a placebo and that her fatal diagnosis was faked. It’s the only explanation that makes any sense.
After all, Huntington’s is fatal, and those who have it eventually die. They need to keep Britt on the soap, and giving her a false diagnosis would effectively achieve that goal.
Britt may have been tricked into cooperating with these villains, who are denying her the freedom to make her own choices or walk away from this cold fusion project she’s working on.
Her desperation to continue receiving her Huntington’s medicine is evident, but perhaps she isn’t really suffering from the illness.
If anyone can rescue Britt from this hellish nightmare, it’s Jason. The medication is also something that Faison has supposedly developed.
This miracle drug keeps her symptoms of Huntington’s in remission. However, she may have been duped all along into believing she had a fatal disease.
Cullum and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) gave Britt this medicine, and it really looks like it’s simply a means to control the brilliant doctor.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Britt Believes Her Life Depends on This Medication
Britt is supposed to continue the research that Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) was conducting before he was killed in cold-blood by Sidwell right in front of Britt.
Sidwell murdered Professor Dalton to send a clear message to Britt that if she falls out of line, the same will happen to her.
Britt is terrified of these people and with good reason. Jason has been offering to help Britt for months. He wants to make a copy of her Huntington’s medicine so that she doesn’t have it hanging over her head.
Jason is trying to free Britt from being under Sidwell and Cullum’s thumb. It was also telling that after Britt and Jason were together the night of the big snowstorm that recently hit Port Charles, the drug was taken from her room above Bobbie’s.
Not to mention, tests are switched or even falsified all the time on soaps. It wouldn’t be too shocking if the writers decided to make it so that Britt was deceived into believing she has Huntington’s and that her life depends on this supposedly life-sustaining medicine.
Otherwise, her symptoms will return, and she eventually won’t be able to function, which is obviously the last thing Britt wants.
If Jason discovers that Britt’s been manipulated all along, then Britt can finally quit working for these two dangerous men, pursue a romance with Jason, and finally have the life she deserves.
