‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicates that Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) may indeed find a way to help Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to get out of jail. But will it be a dangerous endeavor?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Strange Verdict
Drew Cain and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) were turned into the SEC for insider trading. They acted on some information about an upcoming merger. Carly is the one who invested, but they both were investigated. The merger actually never happened, and Carly lost money.
Regardless, they were facing charges. Drew Cain couldn’t bear for Carly to face any punishment, so he decided to take the fall for it all. He worked with his lawyer to get a plea deal.
He would take six months in a minimum-security facility if it meant that Carly could stay out of jail. The prosecution agreed to it, but it still had to go before the judge.
Judge Albert Kim (Kurt Yue) did not agree with the plea agreement. He said he was tired of “white collar crime” getting a pass. To the great surprise of everyone, he ended up giving Drew three years in Pentonville Penitentiary. He chose to make an example out of Drew.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Corruption Behind the Scenes?
Carly Spencer wants Drew to come home. Three years is a long sentence, and he also isn’t safe behind bars. He helped saved Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) from some other inmates, and that could come back to bite him. She asks Diane if anything can be done to get Drew out of prison.
Diane muses that she would really like to be able to prove bias and prejudice against the judge. Drew Cain is not a hardened criminal but is actually a war hero.
The sentence was drastically hard. She asks Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) if he still has a connection with the WSB who could help with this situation. Robert says he doesn’t have an “in” with them anymore.
However, Robert so indicates that the WSB was embarrassed by the job Drew Cain did in Greenland and the WSB may prefer to have Drew in jail. This shocks Diane and makes her wonder if she can prove a connection between the WSB and Judge Kim.
Can she do this? If she does snoop around and get this proof, will she be in danger? What do you think?
