‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest it’s very odd that literally no one in Port Charles seems overly concerned that the police commissioner has been missing for nearly two months.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Why Would Anna Suddenly Rejoin the WSB?
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was attacked from behind in her car, chloroformed, and woke up in captivity. She was abducted on Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) orders.
We were half-expecting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who is always perceptive and hyper-aware, to be the first to realize that Anna has been kidnapped.
Didn’t anyone think it was super weird that Anna suddenly decided to rejoin the WSB? Even the head of the WSB himself, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), somehow believes this preposterous cover story.
While it’s been revealed that Anna is currently being held hostage at Wyndemere, what hasn’t been made clear is what Sidwell wants with her.
We also get that while Anna may have put herself in danger by investigating Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project, the story still falls flat. She was convinced, as are we, that Faison is still alive despite his brain being kept in a jar.
However, Anna wouldn’t leave Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) without at least saying goodbye in person. No one is questioning the long, drawn-out absence of the head of the PCPD.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) hasn’t even bothered to contact his boss while he’s in charge of the police department.
It doesn’t make much sense that none of Anna’s loved ones have shown any concern that she’s been gone for this long, with no real contact or hearing her voice on the phone.
The direction of this story is completely unclear. However, we know that Sidwell is playing mind games with her and that Pascal (Marc Forget) is serving her meals.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Felicia, Mac, and Emma Are Going to Search for Anna
Whatever the reason, Sidwell is keeping Anna close on Spoon Island. It would make much more sense to us if, say, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) were to discover Anna being held captive by Sidwell.
Then, Lucas could realize the danger he’s in and run away as fast as possible. However, not much has been explained about where any of this is going.
While it was interesting at first, it now seems like another story that has dropped the ball. Plus, why would Anna decide to return to the WSB for a mission? She was a double agent and endured hell within that organization.
Emma has also barely mentioned Anna’s absence. We understand it’s the holiday season, which honestly makes the fact that she’s seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth even more implausible.
Furthermore, Anna, a former bada** superspy, would have found a way out on her own by now. GH spoilers suggest that in the coming weeks, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), Mac Scorpio (John J York), and Emma will finally wake up and search for Anna.
Anna’s rescue should have happened over a month ago. Again, Jack blindly believing she was called away by the WSB is a glaring writing mistake. There is no way he’d believe that unless he somehow orchestrated it, which we seriously doubt.
We need to know more about a lot of the factors involved. We want to know what Sidwell has to gain from spearheading Faison’s final project, how exactly Britt and Nathan West (Ryan Paevy) survived, and why no one has come for Anna.
