‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Ava Jerome (Maura West) is in a whole heap of trouble. She is dealing with violent and dangerous people. How can she hope to get out of this situation and not end up in a bigger mess herself?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Getting Pressured
GH’s Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) is a sinister character with treacherous plans. While not much is known about who he works for and what his long-term plans are, he definitely is up to no good. There are indications that he is keeping Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) on life support at some unknown location.
Ava believed she killed Nikolas when he threatened to take Avery Jerome-Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) away from her. After she hit him, she couldn’t find a pulse. She convinced Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) to help her with the body, but when they returned to take care of it, Nikolas was gone.
Mason doesn’t tell anyone that he is keeping Nikolas alive, but he holds this over Ava. She owes him for cleaning up “her mess” and for keeping her secret. For all of this, he expects that she will do what he demands. He wants her to dig up dirt for him on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and he wants it right away.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Squeezed Even More
Mason believes that Ava is dragging her feet on getting the goods on Sonny. That is true because Ava isn’t really fond of being asked to do this. Sonny is Avery’s father, and Ava isn’t really keen on doing something that could hurt him. Mason can tell and is hoping to make Ava see that he means serious business.
When Ava was trying to snoop at Sonny’s, she was seen by the maid, Pilar Rodriguez (Brenda Barnerena). For that reason, Austin tells Ava that Pilar needs to go.
Ava needs to be able to get the information that Mason requires. When Avery gets “lost” in the playground on Pilar’s watch and Austin brings her back, Ava has a way to get Pilar fired.
The new nanny who Mason sends is named Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini). She is vicious and lets Ava know that she is not calling the shots. Ava has to convince Sonny that Betty will be the best nanny.
Then Betty can get busy doing what Mason asks, but Ava can see this isn’t a safe woman to leave her child with. She wants to push her off the balcony at Wyndemere, but Betty tells her to back off.
Betty also lets Ava know that Mason has someone who is keeping tabs on her mother. This freaks Ava out even more. No one in Ava’s life is safe and she is starting to feel that. What is she going to do? Is she going to spill everything to Sonny? Or is she going to keep trying to work with these villains?
