It’s not often ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers look at a child as a force of nature on a soap opera, but Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) has really upped her game the last few months.
Whether it was taking it upon herself to set Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) up or getting bloodthirsty over a softball game to demanding a double wedding on Tuesday, December 11’s episode, she’s making a name for herself.
She’s precocious and demanding, and we’re torn between wanting to see her rapidly aged so she can take over the town or remain as she is because she’s soooo cute!
This feels like the show is laying the groundwork for her to be rapidly aged and play larger and more impactful roles, especially if Finn is going to be written off the show through the current lawsuit.
It’s just a theory ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers have, but it’s hard to tell anymore. One thing we feel sure of is we’ll get this pint sized boss until at least Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) passes away from ALS, assuming they’re going to have the disease run its course on television.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Soaps need young characters written well
One of the failings in soaps at the moment is developing young characters and moving them into important roles. It’s something that’s bothered ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for a while, and to us it feels like only ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Days of Our Lives’ understand the importance of this.
Other shows have tried, but aside from here or there, they tend to handle younger actors and actresses as accessories or offscreen storylines with a line of dialogue here or there.
But ‘GH’ and ‘DOOL’ have been giving them more screen time of late, with teens starting to get into trouble in Salem and Violet taking control of her father’s life, but there’s more.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Partner in crime
Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) is another adorable young lady that looks like she’s growing into a force herself as she’s going to be asking some interesting questions of the adults around her.
With her quick wit, she and Violet could be rapidly aged into best friends in their teens and that will open up so many possibilities for the show to explore, not to mention attract some younger viewers.
They’re been rocking it with the children characters and we’d hate to see them age, but if the writers can keep making them so much fun, it’ll be a sight to see.
Should they keep Violet and Donna young or rapidly age them? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
