‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) doesn’t seem to know how to act around the mysterious Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo), and every time he sees him, he becomes tongue-tied.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Marco Is Sidwell And Natalia’s Son
On the April 3rd episode of GH, Lucas met up with Marco at the Metro Court, and Lucas stumbled through the conversation. Lucas admitted he’s not ready for another relationship, but he’s interested in Marco.
While we don’t know much about Marco yet, we do know that he’s a lawyer. His parents are Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Natalia Rameriz (Eva LaRue), and his sister is Blaze (aka Allison Rogers, played by Jacqueline Grace Lopez).
Oh, and we know Lucas is smitten with him. The two of them met at a bar in Miami, and Lucas told him about his failed relationship with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) and Brad’s betrayal.
“There’s so much complication and history between Brad and Lucas that having a new love interest come in is really fun and exciting,”
Hansis told Soap Opera Digest.
“I’m looking forward to it so much,”
He gushed.
“What we’ve been shooting is really fun. I just love working with Adrain,”
He said.
While we understand Lucas’s inclination to want to move on, we have to wonder if it’s too soon. We also feel for Brad because he’s someone who desperately wants to be a better person.
Brad constantly has an angel on one side and a devil on the other, and the devil seems to prevail more often than not. Brad truly loves Lucas, but he’s someone who has a lot of difficulty changing for the positive.
Deep down, Lucas loves Brad, but they can’t make it work because they are fundamentally different people.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: When Lucas Met Marco
There may be a reason why Lucas and Marco crossed paths. Meeting Marco seems like Serendipity for Lucas in that he was with Brad earlier that night, and when he learned of Brad’s deception, he went down to the bar to drink himself to bed. That’s when he met Marco.
Lucas was in the right place at the right time. He met someone who could be the man of his dreams when he least expected it.
Marco and Lucas hit it off and kissed. Unfortunately, Lucas was so drunk that he threw up all over Marco that night.
Lucas thought he’d never see him again, but Marco soon arrived in Port Charles. He’s set to work as an attorney for Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Hansis and Anchondo have actually known each other for twenty years. They first met when they were both performing at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts and kept in touch throughout the years on social media.
Hansis thinks their familiarity with each other gives them an advantage in playing out this blossoming love story.
“Being able to build this and also build it with somebody who I’ve known for so long and who I totally trust is really cool,” Hansis said.
“As Van and Adrian, we don’t have to go through the sort of “getting to know you phase of things,” Hansis shared. “I’m excited to see where it goes between Lucas and Marco.”
