‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers love nothing more than seeing a good chess match between sharp minded individuals, and we got that when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) squared off on a deal between Crimson and Deception.
There’s no denying that Carly is playing catchup in her new job as the head of Crimson, and her first day looks like it was a masterstroke on her part in maneuvering Tracy into agreeing to her terms.
She had the contract already written up and played like she didn’t know what she was doing, but it was all too perfect. The fact she knew about a new item coming out was a good tipoff.
While it was an impressive showing, the end didn’t match the beginning when it comes to the mood of everyone, especially when it was obvious the Deception crew wanted nothing to do with Carly.
So why were they all happy at the end? We think it has to do with Tracy playing her own game of chess that’s going to leave Carly speechless.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Too easy
Carly can pat herself on the back, but judging how Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) won’t be happy with Tracy as she’ll tell her they all hoped she wouldn’t sign, things are happening on another level.
For starters, Carly doesn’t know that much about how the magazine would work, much less deals and so on, so there’s a good chance she crammed for the meeting, and ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers thinks she had some extra help.
This goes back to Tracy being surprised that she knew about a new item coming out, and Tracy then grudgingly signed the deal, but what if Tracy wanted Carly to know everything?
It wouldn’t be hard for her to let the right things leak, and since Carly has no qualms about pushing to get her way (Insider trading, anyone?), she’d take advantage.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Tracy’s next move
We’re thinking Tracy will use the knowledge of that item to break the deal with Crimson and possibly even get a huge payoff from the company as part of the make up package.
How? Again, the information Carly shouldn’t have, which could be considered insider trading.
In her zest to one up Tracy and get the deal done, Carly would take advantage of any piece she could get, and given her and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison)’s previous dealings and the fact she benefited this time could turn everything in Tracy’s favor.
We’re looking forward to what Tracy has planned, and we’re sure it’s going to be glorious.
