‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) Puts His Freedom on the Line to Please Nikolas

In a curious twist ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers didn’t see coming, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) lost all sense of reality by handing Ace over to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss).

Sure, the argument is that the old Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is back and she’ll endanger the baby, but the fact is Ace would’ve been better staying with her.

She’s been nothing short of a great mother while Nikolas is an absentee father at best and he knows how to push Spencer’s buttons to get his way, and it’s going to cost Spencer.

    Maybe that’s Nikolas’ plan?

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Win over daddy

There’s no denying that Spencer is a lost daddy’s boy and his only real wish is to win Nikolas over. That’s why he forgave him so fast, and ultimately why he gave him Ace.

He can hide behind choosing the lesser of two evils, but considering he and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) were there and Esme listens to Laura, Ace was far better off.

And now Nikolas has his youngest son to raise and abandon whenever he has to run away, and Spencer will be facing a tough legal battle.

He can confront Esme all he wants, but the fact he handed Ace over to a negligent father who happens to be wanted by the police for holding the mother of the baby, Esme, prisoner is not going to end well for him.

He broke so many laws and moral codes with his beaten dog syndrome and it’s possible that’s what Nikolas wants.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – The new black sheep

It’s safe to say everyone but Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will turn on Spencer in the beginning, and he’s going to face the full wrath of Esme, who happens to have Laura on her side.

Alienated and facing legal trouble, Spencer won’t have much recourse except to follow Nikolas out of Port Charles to avoid jail time.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers don’t think he’ll do that and leave Trina, but his decision will have consequences and he’s not going to like them.

Of course, the fact that this is an about face with what he’s been saying isn’t a surprise given it’s how children seeking approval will often react, but it feels like lazy writing to undo all of the positive strides he’s made.

For starters, Spencer isn’t this stupid. Even while seeking Nikolas’ approval he’d never be this dumb to hand Ace over to him. This leads us to believe that Ace will be rapidly aged into a younger kid by the time he returns.

If that’s the plan, it’s very poorly executed, but we’re becoming used to the lazy writing with the original team back in place. There’s a reason most fans wanted the replacement writers to stay.

Is this the end for Spencer? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
