‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that we have seen the last of Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) as he dies peacefully in his sleep after reflecting on his life from childhood up to his son Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and his new bride, Brook Lynn Quartermaine‘s (Amanda Setton) wedding.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Gregory’s Bucket List Was Complete
He told Chase after his wedding that his bucket list was complete. While Chase mentioned to Gregory that he wanted his father to hold his first child, he probably knew it wouldn’t be possible.
After the wedding, he apologized to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) for his insult toward his son about his long-ago tryst with his ex-wife, Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney), before their wedding.
Gregory also had some adorable scenes with Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) before he went to bed. He even had the chance to joke with his son the last time before he drifted off for the last time.
Gregory’s death is heartbreaking and sad for those who love him, but soon after his passing, Brook Lynn and Chase may receive the best wedding gift from Gregory they could imagine.
Brook Lynn may soon discover she’s pregnant with Chase’s baby, and the newlyweds could find a special way to honor Gregory’s memory. If they have a son, they could name him after Gregory.
If they have a girl, they can come up with a name similar to Gregory. For example, the name Greer is the feminine version of Gregory, as both mean “watchful.” Or Rory, which can be a nickname for Gregory.
Whatever the case, the baby will be a blessing and bring so much joy to the family after the tragedy of Gregory’s passing.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: An Amazing Family Legacy
Even though Gregory will never get to meet his precious new grandchild, Brook Lynn and Chase will be sure to tell them enough stories about him and his courage to fill a book.
The arrival of this tiny miracle will also give the Quartermaines a new family member to dote on. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will adore the new baby, as it will not only be her great-grandchild but also a reminder of one of the dearest friends she’s ever had.
Although Brook Lynn is a tried-and-true Quartermaine, she’s not about to allow her kids to be too spoiled by the Q clan. The parents-to-be have already discussed this. They want their children to grow up as wonderful people who don’t take the little things for granted.
The happy couple knows the kind of life they want to build for their children, and part of that will be making sure they know about their family, including the ones who aren’t with them anymore.
The show seems to be setting up Brook Lynn and Chase to be the next Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle) and Lila Quartermaine (Anna Lee).
Between the two characters, they will have a fantastic family legacy to share with their children. They can start by giving their baby girl or boy Gregory’s name.
It would be a very classy move for GH to inject some good news into the storyline after Gregory’s death. A new baby may just be the perfect opportunity to do that.
