‘General Hospital’ Spoilers reveal that Rena Sofer (Lois Cerullo) is returning to the canvas. She originally came to the show in 1993.
After leaving the show 26 years ago, her return will literally “rock” Port Charles. As we all know, Olivia Falconari’s (Lisa LoCicero) husband, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), has amnesia.
Lois was a sassy woman with very long nails and a thick Brooklyn accent. She was once married to Ned, and the two of them were very much in love. Her return could set the stage for an “Eddie Maine” and Lois Cerullo pairing.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Pairing of Ned and Lois
When Ned and Lois first met, he was calling himself Eddie Maine. It was love at first sight for both of them when Eddie performed at a club with his band, The Idle Rich, and they couldn’t take their eyes off each other.
He told Lois he was a rock star at night and a pharmaceutical salesman during the day. The two of them fell in love and got married.
Lois moved to Port Charles with Ned. She knew Sonny Corithos (Maurice Benard) from the “old neighborhood” in Bensonhurst.
Lois became close friends with Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), and the two of them started a company called L&B Records. All this time, Lois still believed that Ned was Eddie Maine.
Ned was forced to marry Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans) because she was blackmailing the Quartermaine family.
Lois found out that Ned was also married to Katherine, and she left him. Eventually, she forgave him, and the two got back together.
In 1997, Lois left Port Charles when she gave Ned an ultimatum: her or the family business, ELQ. Ned chose ELQ. Lois fled to Bensonhurst, New York, and gave birth to their daughter, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (now played by Amanda Setton).

These days
, Ned is married to Olivia. He has amnesia, so he doesn’t remember their relationship, which tears Olivia apart.
Enter Lois. She will come to Port Charles and shake things up between “Eddie” and Olivia. Seeing what happens if Eddie falls for Lois again will be interesting.
Rena Sofer started on daytime when she played Rocky McKenzie on the soap “Loving” from 1988 to 1991. Since leaving General Hospital, Rena Sofer has been playing the role of The Bold and The Beautiful’s Quinn Fuller from 2013 to 2022.
Sofer says she left The Bold and the Beautiful when she hadn’t decided to renew her contract. However, the execs essentially made the decision for her.
Sofer had been asked to stay in the role on a recurring basis. She didn’t want to be recurring, so she left B&B.
Sofer took a break from the acting arena for her mental health and took some art classes, where she learned how to make pottery and started selling it. The proceeds went to animal rescues.
People magazine broke the news that Rena Sofer would be coming back to General Hospital to reprise the famous role of Lois Cerullo. 1995 Sofer earned a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Series.
