General Hospital Spoilers: Oscar Nero’s Tragic Death Leaves Port Charles Devastated – ABC Releases Heart-Wrenching Video Of a Town In Mourning
General Hospital spoilers relate that on Wednesday, May 1’s episode, Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) kissed both Joss and Oscar goodnight before leaving the room. She and Drew Cain (Billy Miller) spoke about Oscar, with Drew wishing for some magic for his son.
This was followed by a dream-like state, where Oscar entered what some might call limbo, when he was greeted by Lila Quartermaine (Anna Lee) and Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle). We were led to believe that this might be the dying teen’s saving grace, but as we now know this was the teen’s calling to pass to “the other side”.
Producers of the hit ABC show deserve huge props for an ending well done to one of the most heartbreaking stories recently aired on television. Most readers in our recent Daily Soap Dish article agreed that while the story ‘s ending was unbelievably heartbreaking and tearjerking, it was also executed to the standards that such a touchy situation required.
We also know that Garren Stitt is nominated at the Daytime Emmy Awards, so it’s possible that the now-dead Oscar Nero’s portrayer might exit General Hospital on a high note after all. Here is ABC’s video release, showing a a town devastated by a tragic loss, in mourning over how life can sometimes be so cruel.
Many people were left shocked at “Oscar’s Final Act” and how the whole situation evolved. Our General Hospital writer, Jamie White, even had a hard time writing the article due to not only its unbearably heavy subject-matter, but also the way the writers twisted the dagger in the viewer’s hearts by trying to portray the appearance of hope in the apparition of Lila and Edward.
“This was all a cruel, horrible twist that was representing a final happy day fantasy of Oscar’s as he is dying, as well as his fears and hopes for the futures of his nearest and dearest. He finally accepts his fate and leaves his body, joining Lila and Edward in the afterlife after a last kiss of Joss’ cheek. Excuse us while we fight the urge to write nasty letters to the writing staff for this emotional trauma.” was her opinion.
