‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Nicholas Chavez, who plays Spencer Cassadine on the soap, will leave our TV screens as Nikolas Cassadine‘s (Adam Huss) loveable yet spoiled son.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Chavez’s Last Appearance is January 31st
But don’t worry, he’ll be back very soon. Chavez’s last appearance as Spencer is on January 31st. Chavez will play in the limited series, “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story,” which will appear on Netflix in 2024. It is season two of the series.
The show will focus on the Menendez brothers’ 1996 murder case in which brothers Joseph Lyle Menendez and Erik Galen Menendez were convicted of killing their parents in 1989 and sentenced to life in prison, devoid of the possibility of parole.
During the trial, the Menendez brothers accused their father of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, which was never proven.
As the story goes, Lyle confessed to his cousin, Diane Vander Molen, that his father had sexually abused him and Erik since he was 14, but his mother took their father’s side and said Lyle was a liar.
Cooper Koch will play Erik Menedez, and Nicholas Chavez will play Lyle Menendez. Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny play the parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez. The exact release date of the anthology series is currently unknown.
It’s unclear how the soap will write Spencer out temporarily or what will occur. However, it is expected to be a soapy and dramatic exit.
We predict that Spencer may decide to join his father, Nikolas, and his baby brother, Ace Prince-Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), as they have left Port Charles, and Nikolas wants to keep Ace from his “wicked” mother, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl).

Chavez came onto the canvas after the adorable Nicholas Bechtel left. Bechtel played a child, Spencer, from 2013 to 2020.
In 2020, Nicholas Chavez took over the role and quickly won fans with his skilled and masterful portrayal of a complicated and often misunderstood young man.
Chavez won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Performer in 2022 and one for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2023.
He is a fan favorite. Fans took to Chavez when he was paired with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). Fans can’t get enough of their beloved “Sprina!”
“Sprina” fans should know that the wildly popular couple is far from over. Their romantic trip to Paris will be rudely interrupted, so to speak.
Danger will lurk all around them, and Spencer may make a discovery that will lead to a perilous situation. The show is keeping mum about what happens leading up to Chavez’s last scenes.
Fans wonder if Esme and her psychotic mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills), will have anything to do with Spencer’s sudden disappearance. We know that Esme is gunning for revenge against Spencer and Trina.
Rumors are swirling that the two loony ladies may kidnap Spencer and use him as leverage to coerce Nikolas to bring Ace back to Esme.
We do know that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will not be involved this time. It looks like Spencer and Trina will be separated for a while.
However, they will come back together after Chavez has finished filming his series. Tabyana will not be leaving the show.
