General Hospital spoilers indicate that star Maura West (Ava Jerome) has nothing but words of praise for her co-star, Genie Francis (Laura Spencer). As a matter of fact, Ava says that after all of these years, she’s still in awe of Genie and all of the professionalism she brings to the set.
General Hospital Spoilers: Maura West Opens Up About Working With Genie Francis, Discusses Awkward Scenes Between Ava, Laura and Kevin
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Maura had this to say: “Genie is, for so many of us – for viewers and fans of this genre – the personification of the genre itself. She’s one of those true icons and there aren’t that many! She is completely present in every scene, she’s concerned that every scene is good – I mean, she is everything you would want in a scene partner when someone of her status probably doesn’t even really need to care so much anymore, if you know what I mean. But she does. She cares very much. Every single moment is thought through and even if it’s a scene where she isn’t necessarily the one with the big lines, she’s in it all the way.”
As many fans know, Ava got to work particularly close with Genie in recent weeks, and especially in the scenes in which Ava’s own life was almost on the line when Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) took her on a honeymoon to Canada that know one will ever forget!
With that said, it is wonderful to see just how well the co-stars of General Hospital get along. Not only do they have great chemistry on screen, but off screen too! Plus, there are a lot of people out there that would agree: Maura West is just as big of a soap opera legend as Genie Francis. These two women are just two wonderful reasons why so many soap fans tune in to General Hospital each and every day!
