‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers for March 29th reveal it’s a sad day in Port Charles. Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) is gone, and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) got the news last time.
This episode will pay tribute to the late actress whose portrayal of Epiphany was a highlight of the show for us. The character was a force of nature and her absence is definitely felt. Here’s what you need to know.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For March 29: Choices
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal the last time we saw the character, she’d been about to take her MCAT exam. Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) had been there to offer her some last-minute encouragement before she took the test.
Fitting, as he was the one who had encouraged her to follow her dream of a medical degree. And we suppose that’s why he’ll be feeling some regret over pushing her to do so.
In the promo, he tells Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), “This is all my fault.” Obviously, he has nothing to feel guilty about, as an accident can occur anywhere. However, we have a feeling he won’t be seeing it that way for a while.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For March 29: Regrets
Elsewhere, Elizabeth was trying to get in touch with Epiphany when a State Trooper answered the phone. She’d been talking about Epiphany’s silence during her recent issues, and was likely feeling like she’d been abandoned.
Now that she knows Epiphany is gone, her guilt over what she’d done will likely continue to increase. It sounds as though she feels she betrayed Epiphany by going along with that scheme at Wyndemere.
In the promo, she tells Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), “Just wish I could’ve made it right with her.” We think Epiphany would’ve had some things to say about this whole mess Elizabeth got herself into. But we also believe she’d respect Elizabeth for coming forward and telling the truth.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers For March 29: Fallout
Finally, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal there are a couple of other characters who’ll be feeling the loss. In the promo, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) tells Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman), “Right now, this is exactly where I need to be.”
We also saw several times how Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Epiphany also had a friendship. With everything that’s been going on in his life, this loss is going to make him think. He’ll tell Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), “It really hit home how precious life can be.” Will this make him rethink some recent decisions? We’ll see.
