‘General Hospital’ spoilers confirm that Kirsten Storms has finally returned to GH. Soap Opera Digest revealed earlier today that her first airdate back is on Thursday, February 12th.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Maxie Fell Into a Coma After Being Poisoned
The actress has been off-screen since August 2025. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) fell into a coma after being poisoned with Deception face cream by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
Since then, the character Maxie has been off the canvas. Maxie ended up in a long-term care facility in Boston.
Storms posted on Instagram Wednesday night,
“Boom! 2026 already. That was fast. Back at work!”
She said that California isn’t the same without her “BugBug,” who is her daughter, Harper Rose.
Storms shares her daughter with her ex-husband, Bradon Barash, who played Johnny Zacchara on General Hospital and, more recently, Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives.
The actress first announced that she would be stepping back from the soap in July 2025. Kirsten relocated from Los Angeles to Tennessee with her daughter.
In October 2025, Storms shared her health journey on Instagram and revealed that her move was partly motivated by her health condition.
Storms has been open in the past about her 2021 brain surgery. She had a procedure done called a craniotomy to remove noncancerous cysts on the left side of her brain.
In January 2025, Kirsten reported that she now had
“an aneurysm on the right side of my brain.”
Storms had to schedule another brain operation to keep the aneurysm from bursting.
Now that Storms is back, we have to wonder what that will mean for Nathan West (Ryan Paevy). However, some fans think that “Nathan” is really an imposter.
Maxie will be able to tell when she wakes up whether this person is really her not-so-dead husband, though. Before Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Maxie got together, Maxie married Nathan.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Nathan Really Nathan Or An Imposter?
Since it looks like Nathan may be very much alive, Maxie and Nathan are still legally married. When she sees Nathan for herself, she’ll know in her heart if it is her husband.
It’s going to be tough to watch Spinelli get his heartbroken again if it turns out this man is really Nathan. At the very least, there is something shady going on, since he claims he doesn’t remember what happened over the past seven years.
We’re not so convinced that it’s a coincidence that Nathan’s sister, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), is also alive after being declared dead for four years.
She’s been working diligently on Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project. All these revelations have transpired since Maxie has been in a coma.
It’s going to be interesting to see who really has Maxie’s heart: Nathan or Spinelli. Plus, Maxie will be reunited with her kids, who had feared she might not wake up.
A lot has changed since Maxie’s coma. Storms is officially back in the GH studio filming, and it won’t be long now until we see Maxie back in action.
When Storms first took her break from the show, she teased that some major developments were on the way for Maxie’s character.
She wrote on Instagram,
“I promise you, the storyline they have going on until my return to Port Charles is kind of incredible. You guys are gonna freak out, actually!”
