‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers have been looking forward to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) revealing why he was gone for over two years, and now that he has, it’s raised other questions.
We’ve been thinking he was involved in all three shooting attempts on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and that’s why they failed, but he disproved that.
On Tuesday, Marck 26’s episode he told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that Pikeman sends different teams in for each job and the one he was on was his first.
Of course, this raised continuity flags for us, but also got us to thinking who really betrayed Sonny?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Still had to be an inside job
Now that we know there were different teams attacking Sonny, it leaves us with the question of who attacked him in Puerto Rico?
There’s still the issue they were able to bypass his security and know what he was going to do, so that means there’s still a traitor among his people.
Since it has to be someone that’s high up, ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers still think there’s a good chance it was Brick (Stephen A. Smith) that betrayed him.
We keep going back to how badly he botched Dex Heller (Evan Hofer)’s background check where he missed every important detail, especially before checking each man personally before going there to guard Sonny.
Assuming Brick did his job and knew about Dex, especially after he told him not to trust anyone but Sonny during the first Pikeman transaction, Dex would be the scapegoat.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Taking the fall
Given Brick’s comment to Dex and the look he gave him at that exchange, it makes sense he knew about Dex’s history and that he was being paid and set him up to take the fall when Pikeman struck.
This will fly in the face of years of history between Sonny and Brick, but it makes sense.
Brick would’ve expected Dex to be killed before Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) got there to save him, and everything would be good.
But she teleported and made it to the middle of nowhere in record time to keep Sonny from having Dex killed, so Brick is back to square one.
He was indignant when he thought Sonny was accusing him of betraying him, but Sonny quickly told him he didn’t think he was guilty and they moved on.
It just feels off and we’re curious is the new writers will address this or sweep it under the rug like they have numerous character histories.
Is Brick the traitor? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
