‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers love nothing more than some good character drama, but for whatever reason the show’s new writers have really been dropping the ball and it’s made for some interesting interactions.
Since returning to Port Charles, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has managed to destroy his relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
How was one of the dumbest things he could’ve done by not being honest with him and claiming that by telling Sonny the terms of his working undercover would violate his deal.
Basically hinting that Sonny would run and tell John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).
But like Sonny, Jason seemed to see things for how they were even when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) laid out her problems with Sonny, leaving out some important aspects that were her fault.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – In disbelief
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers couldn’t help but give a small cheer at Jason’s look of disbelief at some of Carly’s antics when she updated him on how she and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) betrayed Sonny’s trust and so on.
He pointed out how he can see how Sonny wouldn’t appreciate that and we could see he understood Sonny’s reaction a lot better.
Then Carly started to weave her reality where she omitted certain things, like how she told Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) she wasn’t going to see Sonny when he gave her the ultimatum to save their marriage.
Sure, she had an emergency that came up, but she neglected to mention to Jason how she refused and if she hadn’t he never would’ve married Nina. But Sonny is evil and all that.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Another one falls to the Cult of Carly’s Influence
This is where Jason started to fall once again to Carly’s wiles and he went so far as to say the way Sonny’s treated her is pushing him closer to crossing a line, especially after Sonny’s threats.
But Jason sought out the confrontation when he reclaimed his office. He could’ve done all that by not going there, but the writers are the writers.
It’s not a surprise that Jason would side with Carly, but so far he hasn’t heard Sonny’s, and given how he’s 100% acted like he can’t be trusted, it makes sense for him to avoid Sonny.
Oddly enough, the writers are using Sonny being off his meds as an excuse when he’s actually justified in everything and Jason was beginning to see that until the Cult of Carly reached out and ensnared him.
This is going to present a whole slew of problems going forward as there will be a point where things with Sonny will come to a head and he’ll either go down or the writers will have him admit he’s been wrong when he wasn’t and it’s all a big happy family.
