‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers tease that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is in deep with John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington), as he is forcing Sonny’s former right-hand man to be an FBI informant.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Is Working With John To Take Down Pikeman
John claims to have evidence against Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) that would land her twenty years in prison for Rico violations.
Some think that Agent Cates has a recording of Carly at the meeting of the five families after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was presumed dead, and she and Jason had to take over the business.
Others think the “proof” John has is bogus and that he doesn’t have any evidence against Carly.
In the meantime, Jason is working with Cates to take down Pikeman to protect Carly from going to jail. Last week, Carly told Jason about the proof Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) had on the infamous flash drive that he and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) had incriminating Sonny.
While Carly stomped on and destroyed the flash drive, a computer genius, Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), could easily find this information and retrieve the recording from Dex’s cloud.
Jason is very curious about the recording and wants to find out what happened to the evidence, and he takes it a step further as he and Spinelli retrieve the information that will put Sonny away for a long time. Jason’s primary goal is to protect Carly.
It comes down to this: Jason has to choose whether he protects Sonny or Carly, but he can’t protect both. For Jason, it’s no contest.
Sonny also didn’t exactly provide Jason with a warm reception upon learning that he was still alive, and he even recently went as far as to threaten Jason’s life.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason Saves Carly At Sonny’s Expense
Carly is his true blue; he will always have her back and keep her safe. Jason may initially have reservations, but ultimately, he will give John proof that Sonny is working with Pikeman.
The organization specializes in dealing illegal guns to the highest bidder. Once John gets his hands on that proof, it’s all over for Sonny. Jason may not like it, but he agreed to work with Cates on the condition that Carly stays out of prison.
Being responsible for helping John take down Sonny will surely put a target on his back, but it’s a price he will pay for Carly.
John is also starting to develop feelings for Carly, which puts him in an odd position. Carly saved him the night he was beaten up by Sonny’s goons (supposedly) as she rescued him from his attackers.
She stayed with him and sat vigil by his side for the whole night to make sure he didn’t have a concussion. The two of them talked and became close. She was right there for him when he woke up the following day.
Recently, John gave Carly his digits; we all know he’s falling for her. His emotions toward Carly would complicate things for him as an FBI agent.
Cates will be happy to arrest Sonny and not Carly. Jason is in a position to free Carly and will ensure her safety above all else.
