‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that while no one asked for a “Janna” pairing, we got one anyway. Something is brewing between Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason And Anna Secretly Kissed In Africa
During the week of September 23, Jason and Anna were imprisoned in Africa by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and thought they were about to die, and the two of them shared a kiss.
That was after their James Bond-style scenes of them in an effort to infiltrate the casino, dressed to the nines, playing a high-stakes game of cards.
Fortunately, they made it back to Port Charles in one piece. That being said, Anna had a flashback of the two of them locking lips, and Jason is keeping a major secret from his bestie, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
This brings us to our first point: Carly may not be thrilled when she finds out. Anna has made it her mission to go after her ex-husband and mafia don, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Before they even set foot on another continent, Anna laid the ground rules for Jason. She made it clear that as long as he worked for Sonny, they couldn’t continue the close friendship that developed between them.
Carly is all about being loyal to Sonny. She agreed to help Sonny with an alibi for the night he killed John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington).
Carly is going along with the lie that they are back together. Anna is investigating the murder of Agent Cates, and if she busts Sonny, Jason will still be standing in his corner.
Jason and Carly also have an unbreakable bond, and typically, when Jason is in a relationship with someone, they must play second fiddle to Carly. Anna doesn’t seem like the type who will be willing to put up with that.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason And Anna’s Daughter, Robin, Were Romantically Involved
Sonny and Carly aren’t the only problems they face should they try to embark on a romance. There’s also the fact that Jason and Anna’s daughter, Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCoullough), were once romantically involved.
How would Anna explain to Robin that she and Jason were together? She’d have a hard enough time getting her to understand why she’s trying to take Sonny down.
In the end, we feel Jason’s unwavering devotion to Carly would be the demise of this unlikely duo. Nothing kills a relationship faster than a third wheel. And unfortunately for Anna, she’d be the odd one out.
Jason notoriously puts Carly first ahead of his women, and ironically, they don’t work out because of Jason’s connection to Carly. Robin informed Jason’s brother, A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan), that he (not Jason) was the father of Carly’s son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Robin was Jason’s first love when he switched his name from Quartermaine to Morgan after the accident that left him brain-damaged.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is another possible spoiler for them. Anna loved him and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) enough to let Valentin evade the law and flee Port Charles.
With all the obstacles that factor into a potential romance between Jason and Anna, could they make it as a couple?
