‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers alum Tamara Braun (Kim Nero) is making it no secret that she was caught quite off guard when producers of the hit ABC soap told her that she would no longer be needed in future episodes. While Tamara did have a feeling that her days on the daytime television show were definitely numbered, she didn’t think it would happen this quickly and so suddenly, too. Here’s what she has to say.
Now that she is no longer on contract with ‘General Hospital’, Tamara is opening up about her true feelings about the show and how things ended for her. Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, the beautiful brunette admits that she was just as surprised by the decision as her fans were at the time. “I was told weeks before that I had big story coming up,” she shared. “So it was a bit of a surprise to me.”

And while she currently doesn’t have anything in the pipeline right now, Kim says that she’s looking forward to spending the holiday season with her family. She also says that she’s hopeful that the future will remain very bright for her. Needless to say, her fans certainly feel the same way.
“Soaps have been a big part of my acting life, so of course I’d be open to [repeating the experience],” she acknowledged. “When [DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ co-executive producer] Albert Alarr told me that my character, Ava, was dying, I was like, ‘Really? You’re killing her?’ And he responded, ‘C’mon. No one’s ever [truly] dead in soaps.’ So maybe she’s not!” So, does this mean that we might see Tamara on another daytime television show in the future? Hopefully so! We will definitely keep our fingers crossed.
