‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers love nothing more than a good mystery, and the clues keep coming in regards to who is after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
We’ve been thinking that Sonny’s been under fire from Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) ever since it was announce that Steve was returning to the show and storylines were tweaked, and it looks like we may have gotten another piece of the puzzle thanks to Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).
It was a pretty cool discovery and it goes well in hand with the information Sonny got from Selina Wu (Lydia Look)’s prisoner.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Taking the Cold out of Stone Cold
There’s a method to our madness in thinking the ghost or dead person running things, as Cyrus put it, ties into the name Stone being used.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers thought they were using that name to specifically target Sonny and he feels the same way, and that may be the reason, but we think there’s another one.
Steve recently talked about why he stopped using his nickname Stone Cold and it’s because of another Stone Cold.
He said “Stone Cold” Steve Austin of the WWE asked him to stop using the Stone Cold moniker he made famous for trademark and copyright reasons and Steve agreed.
So, Stone makes sense as an abbreviated version of his nick name and it rings on several levels with Sonny.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers – Is Cyrus making his move
We’re still curious what would make Jason turn on Sonny, and for that we look at the fan theory of the WSB brainwashing Jason after he was pulled out from the rubble.
Or, and this feels unlikely, it could be another of Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy)’s plans to get some revenge.
There’s also the possibility that this is Cyrus looking to cleanse the world of evil doers.
Since he found God, he’s come across as a uber devout that tends to be overly aggressive toward those like him that don’t see the light.
He does have a history with Sonny and wants the same respect Sonny gets despite being a mob boss, and this could be his way of taking him out.
There are so many possibilities they could go with this, but either way Jason would need some serious capital and Cyrus donated all of his money into the special fund to get himself out of prison.
