The Friday, May 24th General Hospital recap brings a surprising end to Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) scheme, a desperate plea for help from Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), and a threat from Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). If you missed all the action, let’s give you some General Hospital (GH) spoilers.
General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Is Ryan Dead? Will Ava Serve Jail Time?
Brad is freaking out after Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) pointed out the consequences of Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) learning their baby is Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen). So much so, he goes to Julian Jerome (William DeVry) for advice on what to do. He’s scared that a custody battle will expose the truth about who the baby really is.
Julian is not in the mood, after already being woken during the search for Ava. He thinks they’re not going to be able to do anything right now, so he thinks they need to calm and get some rest, then come back to the problem in the morning with a fresh mind. He stresses the importance of calm.
General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Saved by Stone Cold
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) kind of wakes to Shiloh setting her down on a table in the place where he had his breakthrough. He’s excited to finally make Sam his and share the dawn he’d promised. Sam is feebly protesting his advances, as she’s completely out of it.
Before anything can actually happen, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) rushes in and beats up Shiloh. During the fight, Shiloh falls down the stairs, and Jason manages to get Sam out of there. Both Sam and Shiloh end up in the hospital, where Sam is having nightmares about her near-rape.
General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Wake up
Sonny started his scenes off still at the Dawn of Day house, trying to open Margaux Dawson’s (Elizabeth Henderickson) eyes to the shady that is Shiloh. She can’t even believe the stuff he’s saying and is still holding a grudge against Sonny for a personal loss. That pain is what’s made her such a good target for Shiloh, and had her buying into his sales pitch. He insists he’s telling the truth about his assault allegations, and that Shiloh is only interested in her because it’s handy to have a DA in your pocket. He claims that the whole “better man” act when he dropped the charges was just more manipulation. They argue some more about it, until he has enough. He tells her she’s going to have to face the truth if she wants to save herself before leaving.
Later on, He approaches Shiloh, who’s laying in a hospital bed with his arm in a cast and looking pretty messed up. He reminds Shiloh of his personal philosophy of “Family first, always—at all costs.” He wants Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ (Lexi Ainsworth) pledge, or really bad things are going to start happening. And we are completely loving the fear that seems to be building in Shiloh through the whole speech. Someone will be by, by the way, to help facilitate Sonny’s “request”.

General Hospital (GH) spoilers: Final straw
Ava has been enjoying herself today, as she’s had Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) at gunpoint most of the episode. She’s intent on him feeling every bit of fear her daughter did, as well as all the pain. She’s going to make sure to drag it out some just for that reason. While she holds him hostage, she starts demanding answers about Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) final moments. We haven’t been watching long enough to know if the story Ryan tells is the truth, but it’s sure painful and moving as he details Kiki’s fear and how she cried for her mother. He even says she asked him to tell Ava she loves her, and she’s sorry. This is getting ugly, and Ava had blasted Ryan today for thinking that’s what she wanted.
Meanwhile, Laura Webber (Genie Francis) has put the word out for Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that Ryan is to be taken alive, as he’s Jordan Ashford’s (Brianna Nicole Henry) only hope. She helps Curtis buy time to get to Ava’s place first, where he manages to get the gun away from Ava. He’d pleaded with her to do so, because helping save a life with Ryan’s kidney would be one of the best ways to honor Kiki’s life. After he’s disarmed her, the cops arrive and arrest Ryan. She makes sure to get a dig in about how his brother was smarter than him and knew exactly what he’d do. Ryan responds by telling her she couldn’t pull the trigger, because she loves him. This sets Ava off, and she grabs the knife Ryan had been wielding before and stabs him while his and the cops’ backs are turned.
