‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that many GH fans are divided as to whether Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) joining the WSB is totally ridiculous or a stroke of genius.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Is Joss The Next Anna Devane?
Joss is ready to be the next Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to become a secret agent and work for the clever and cunning Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna).
After leaving Joss a series of breadcrumbs to find Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) killer, Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) daughter set out to prove that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was the one injecting patients with fatal doses of digitalis to “end their suffering.”
Dex obviously wasn’t hooked up to a machine and barely functioning, much like Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco); Dex simply got in the way of Cyrus’s crimes, so the “angel of mercy” stabbed Dex at Rice Plaza and then finished the job at the hospital.
Joss went to Cyrus’s cabin to search for proof that he killed Dex. When Cyrus discovered her, he went after her with an axe, and Joss shot and killed him in self-defense.
Brennan was waiting outside, ready to clean up the murder. Brennan had Joss come back to his office, and that’s when he asked her to join the WSB.
Does Joss have what it takes to perform this job? With enough training and hard work, can she become the ultimate super spy?
Anna had to reprimand Joss after she tipped Cyrus off that the PCPD considered him the main suspect in the Digitalis killer case and was investigating him.
It may have given him the forethought to cover his tracks somewhat better. Joss also could have easily been caught sneaking into Cyrus’s apartment.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Joss Has Skills That Could Help Her Become A Successful Spy
On the flip side, Joss has adequate life-saving skills. She saved Kristina Corinthos-Davis’s (Kate Mansi) life after she plummeted through the window in Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) suite at the Metro Court.
Kristina took a swan dive into the pool while she was pregnant, and Joss rushed to help her. To her credit, Joss decided to join the WSB in honor of Dex.
Brennan’s pitch sounded like a meaningful job to take out the bad guys. She wants to fight for justice when the police can’t or won’t.
Joss also has her mother’s instincts. She’s intuitive and follows her gut. However, much like Carly, she has a chip on her shoulder and a sense of entitlement. While we all love Joss and Carly, they have their faults.
That being said, entitlement and the propensity to hold grudges may be attributes in the spy game. The need for vengeance and justice could motivate Joss as an agent.
However, she can’t tell her mother or her best friend that she’s a spy. She may not be able to keep it a secret.
Joss also suddenly changed her major when she claimed to want to be a doctor. Then, she decided to go for environmental science. It takes commitment to be a spy for the WSB.
Joss did, however, collect evidence for Anna. That’s definitely an achievement, considering the PCPD can’t seem to fulfill their duties these days. Joss may turn out to be a successful spy after all.
