‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Trying to Break Free
Gladys Corbin is getting desperate. She’s a gambler and has been losing big money at Selina Wu’s (Lydia Look) poker tables at the Savoy. She owes Selina and she doesn’t have the money to pay her debt.
Being Sasha’s guardian has afforded her the ability to pay Selina with Sasha’s money. She has been Sasha’s guardian since Sasha had a mental breakdown.
Sasha was dealing with incredible grief and stress after the death of her child and her husband. She also had substance abuse issues. Because of this, Glady was established as her guardian.
When Sasha began to feel better and decided to explore becoming independent from Gladys, it made Gladys quite nervous. How could she hope to pay her bills if Sasha freed herself from the guardianship?
Sasha had to get a psychiatric evaluation to prove she could be independent. Luckily for Gladys, the psychiatrist Sasha went to was her gambling partner, Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder).
He started to drug Sasha to keep her unstable. She ended up suffering from hallucinations and being committed to Ferncliff Hospital for the Criminally Insane after trying to stab Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Finally Breaking Free?
No one could see Sasha and the nurses were also not catch on to Dr. Montague’s actions. He kept giving Sasha drugs. She was looking worse and worse.
Gladys finally began to grow concerned about her daughter-in-law. When she told Dr. Montague to stop and let Sasha go, he said he would only do so if she paid. Gladys had to beg for even more money from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
It seems that Gladys may have exhausted Sasha’s funds. Gladys tried to sell Sasha’s stock in Deception Cosmetics to make more cash, but there is a freeze on the sales of that stock because of litigation. Gladys seems out of financial options. Will this make her care now about Sasha?
Cody had himself committed to Ferncliff just to get Sasha out. He was able to beat up Montague, steal his clothes, and sneak out with Sasha. Now she is going through detox, and he is trying to help her get a hold on her life.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has finally understood the situation and is going to be gunning for Gladys. Does this mean that Sasha will finally be protected? Will she be able to find hope, health and happiness?
