‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) may be getting ready to stick her foot in it again. She’s already made a move that put Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in jail in the first place. Will she end up doing something that gets her in trouble or makes his situation even worse?
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Insider Trading
An anonymous source tipped the SEC that Carly Spencer and Drew Cain were involved in insider trading. They had heard about a possible merger and Carly acted on the news. Drew never invested.
The merger fell through and Carly actually lost money on her investment. However, she acted on the tip to attempt to make a profit.
When they were reported, Drew decided that he could not bear it if she went to jail. He decided that he would plead guilty if it meant that she would not receive any prison time.
He made a deal with the prosecution that he would plead guilty and take three months in a minimum-security facility in exchange for keeping her out of trouble.
The judge disagreed with the arrangement. He was not impressed by the deal and believed justice should be served. He sentenced Drew to three years in Pentonville Penitentiary. The SEC fined Carly, but she was not incarcerated. The judge’s decision shocked the courtroom.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Just Can’t Wait
Carly has been trying to deal with her financial situation. She thought she might lose the house to pay her fines, but she was able to get Kelly’s diner and has been working hard there.
That has served to help alleviate her financial struggles for the moment. Because of its newfound success, she is going to be able to keep her house.
However, she does seem to be struggling with waiting for Drew to get done with his sentence. Carly doesn’t believe that he should spend anymore time in jail behind bars.
She’s ready for him to be home, with her. Carly tries to convince Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) that they need to look for a new judge who could be influenced to release Drew early.
Diane says that is a bad idea. By trying to manipulate the situation, Carly could end up in trouble herself. Or worse, she could end up jeopardizing Drew’s ability to be released as soon as possible.
Diane believes that Carly should just quietly wait for Drew to finish his sentence. But, Carly seems to be impossible to deter.
What do you think? Are Carly and Drew headed for more trouble with this idea?
