‘General Hospital’ spoilers ask if Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is being too kind and understanding about Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) devotion to Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Chase Tossed the First Punch at Michael
Not to mention, Chase’s animosity towards her cousin, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gisbson). So far, Michael and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) both suspect that something more may be happening between Willow and Chase, beyond his seeking justice.
Plus, Chase went as far as to get into a knock-down, drag-out physical altercation with Michael. The two of them sparred in the Quartermaine family living room! Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) had to break them up.
While we understand that Chase has a soft spot for Willow, we don’t really understand his blind devotion to the would- be- black widow.
Brook Lynn has been a really supportive, loving wife all through Chase’s mess. He’s suspended from the PCPD for his blatent disloyalty to the department and his incessant need to prove Willow’s innocence.
He’s not only been on an endless quest to help Willow, but he’s also straight-up accused Michael of shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and framing Willow for the crime.
Michael is an innocent man. Granted, he was in the vicinity of Drew’s house the night of the shooting. However, Willow is the guilty party, and we have a sneaking suspicion that Michael may have seen Willow at Drew’s house that fateful night.
It’s important to note that when Chase and Michael recently came to blows, Chase threw the first punch. He may even be harboring some resentment toward Michael for sleeping with Willow while they were married.
Personally, I think Brook Lynn deserves better. We’ve never really seen Brook Lynn defend someone as much as she defends Chase.
Brook Lynn said that part of the reason she fell in love with him is that he’s “such a good guy.” Chase fights for what he believes is right.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brook Lynn Stands by Her Man
While it’s admirable of Brook Lynn to stand by her man, she needs to set some ground rules with Chase, and maybe even Willow. She’s so supportive of Chase that she told him she would understand if he “told the PCPD to shove it.”
Brook Lynn was also 100 percent correct when she told Chase in the January 23rd episode that she didn’t think now was the time for them to adopt a child and start a family.
Chase really needs to get his s**t together. Maybe when he finds out that Willow is actually guilty, he’ll change his tune and could even apologize to Michael.
It seems like Chase sees Willow as an angel who can do no wrong. His heart definitely belongs to Brook Lynn, but he’s still throwing fists over Willow. He thinks that because she was found not guilty, it automatically means that she’s innocent.
Chase told Brook Lynn that his demotion was a “wake-up call.” He wants to start a family as soon as possible. He thinks that because she’s in a good place with Gio Palmeri (Giovanni Mazza), they can proceed.
It was clear that Brook Lynn felt Chase was deflecting. He was trying to compensate for the loss of his detective job with the idea of raising a kid. Brook Lynn needs to know the extent of the rift between Chase and Michael and exactly what caused their blow-up.
We feel that Brook Lynn was right to pump the brakes on her family plans with Chase. He needs to figure out what is more important to him: being Willow’s cheerleader and Michael’s enemy or the love he has for his wife, Brook Lynn.
Of course, if he chooses Brook Lynn, her family is part of the package, and that includes Michael.
