‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers suggest that Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) may be the perfect man for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan Flew To Germany To Give Carly Support
Their fun and flirtatious slow-burn relationship is one we love to watch. There have been sparks since they met at Bobbie’s over a year ago.
The first time they came close to kissing was at Christmastime. Carly invited Brennan to her house for the joyous holiday.
Now that Brennan has taken a giant step and flew to Germany to give Carly support while Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is being treated for his burns, we think it’s only a matter of time before they explore their feelings for each other.
Brennan has done everything Carly asked of him. She’s come to him several times as the head of the WSB has helped her and her loved ones out of tricky situations.
We keep wondering when he’ll finally tell her he deleted the incriminating recording of her and the Five Families so she didn’t end up in prison.
While Brennan has admitted to Carly that he’s smitten with her, others have warned Carly that Brennan can’t be trusted.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was the first person to urge Carly to stay away from Brennan. We have to wonder if there might be any merit to his reservations about Jack.
Jason’s instincts about people are usually correct, and we have to wonder why his bells, alarms, and whistles go off where the dashing head of the WSB is concerned.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: A Past Secret Could Be Revealed
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) also advised the Metro Court owner not to get involved with Brennan. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) even refused to shake Brennan’s hand when he offered it to him. Recently, Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) cautioned Carly about Jack.
Carly isn’t typically one to listen to warnings, especially when she’s as charmed and intrigued by Brennan as much as she is.
That being said, the soap definitely foreshadows that something will inevitably happen that tests the bond between Carly and Jack.
We’ve seen him go above and beyond for her. We think it is unlikely that Brennan would do anything now to jeopardize his friendship with Carly.
However, we suspect that a past secret may come out. It could stall Carly and Brennan from becoming the super couple we all know they will be.
We know that Brennan worked for the Pikeman group when he first arrived in Port Charles. Pikeman targeted Sonny and was partly responsible for a string of attacks on Sonny and his family.
Another potential roadblock for Carly and Brennan is that she may not want to experience another relationship where her partner keeps secrets.
With Sonny, she had to worry about the mob and what he didn’t tell her about his business.
Something else that hasn’t been addressed is that Brennan knew that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) tampered with Sonny’s bipolar medicine.
We’re unsure if that would be a dealbreaker, but we do think it may give Carly pause. Ultimately, we believe something from Brennan’s past may rear its ugly head.
