‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Fans Are Warming Up to Michael and Jacinda
Fans seem to be warming up to the idea of Michael and Jacinda as a couple. It’s kind of a Pretty Woman scenario that is intriguing and has a lot of potential.
Michael and Jacinda have already hit the sheets and seem to be headed toward a relationship. There is some chemistry between them, and a great backstory for how they met. Plus, let’s face it: Rory Gibson is fabulous and deserves a love interest.
However, Sasha may be Michael’s true love. After all, Sasha sacrificed a lot for Michael over the years. She paved the way for Michael and Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) to be together for Wiley Corinthos’s (Viron Weaver) sake.
Look at how that turned out. Willow cheated on Michael with his uncle, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). She hurt and betrayed Michael for a man who wasn’t even worth it.
However, Sasha remained steadfast and loyal to Michael the entire time and consistently defended Michael to Willow, despite their so-called “friendship.”
The night Michael found out about Drew and Willow’s affair, he went to the Brown Dog and drank himself into a stupor. Sasha joined him because she was trying to handle her own heartbreak.
She had just learned that her boyfriend also happened to be her cousin! Sasha and Michael commiserated and ended up sleeping together.
Sasha became pregnant with Michael’s child. The chemistry between them was even more palpable when Rory Gibson assumed the role of Michael. The longing glances, the deep conversations, and the way they clicked in general made me root for them.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Willow Is the Reason Sasha Left Town with Michael’s Baby
After she had the baby, and Willow lost custody of her children, Willow gaslighted Sasha and stalked her baby, Daisy.
So, Sasha had to leave town, believing that one of Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) wanted to send a message and was using innocent Daisy to do it.
Now, Michael is involved in a love story with Jacinda. She’s a former sex worker who apparently has a heart of gold. She really seems to care about Michael.
Yet, I am waiting for Sasha and Michael. We were robbed of them years ago when Sasha pretended to cheat on Michael to push him toward Willow.
Now, we’re robbed of them because of Willow’s shenanigans. We know that if Sasha were to come back with their daughter, everything would change.
We would likely get a very soapy love triangle, and Michael would be torn between the mother of his child and the woman he’s slowly starting to fall for. Yet, I still can’t fully commit to investing in Michael and Jacinda’s relationship.
Sofia Mattsson left of her own accord. She wanted to try her hand at some new projects and dip her feet into unknown waters. It’s a shame because again, her chemistry with Rory Gibson was off the charts.
I am truly hoping that Sasha returns one day soon and reunites with Michael. We’ve been waiting for years for that to happen, and while Jacinda is a fun and interesting character with great potential, she’s simply not our precious Sasha.
